Hey, curious people.
I’ve had Claude handle my meeting follow-up for a while now. Every Zoom meeting gets transcribed, my action items get filed every couple of hours, and each morning a brief reminds me what I said I’d complete. It’s very helpful. Sometimes, though, I think it’s okay for a few action items to fall through the cracks :)
Last week’s issue was all Anthropic. This one is spread around: Zoom continues moving into go-to-market, the meeting workflow I lean on every day, and one Anthropic rep’s agent fleet. There’s no long-form piece this week, so 03 is a closer look at one story.
On the menu this week:
🖥️ Zoom pushes meeting notes into Salesforce and opens up to Claude and Copilot.
🛠️ The play: every meeting transcribed, action items filed every couple of hours, and a morning brief that reminds me what I promised.
🔎 A closer look: an Anthropic BDR who runs his day on six Claude agents.
📡 On the radar: Salesforce buys Braze, ChatGPT Ads starts rewriting your ads by default, Canva ships its first image model, DeepSeek raises about $15 billion, and four more.
01 / THE BIG MOVE
🖥️ Zoom’s meeting notes head for Salesforce
At Zoomtopia this week, Zoom announced My Notes Workflows, which turn meeting summaries into follow-up work in Zoom Chat and Salesforce.
The number that matters: $5 billion. That’s the annual revenue Zoom says it expects to pass this year. It’s Zoom’s own forecast.
What shipped:
My Notes Workflows: meeting summaries become follow-up work in Zoom Chat and Salesforce, with ready-made sales, marketing and IT workflows. Zoom expects it this month.
MCP servers and the Search and Ask APIs: agents can act in Zoom and query your meetings from Claude, GPT, Copilot and other assistants. Available now, per Zoom.
Connections to AI assistants: Zoom features inside Claude, Codex, Copilot and Muse, expected this month. Zoom announced no pricing for any of it.
Why it matters for GTM: it’s interesting that Zoom is going more commercial, and even further into go-to-market. I don’t know yet if we’d push these details into Salesforce, but it’s something we’ll look at. Our biggest blocker is that Zoom is centrally managed by IT. Our go-to-market systems team doesn’t own it, so setting up new processes would be one more hurdle for us.
Additionally… can zoom get a product designer please? The app’s navigation and UI is maybe the worst of what I use today.
02 / PUT IT TO WORK
🛠️ The play: every meeting becomes an action item list
My play this week is a personal one. It adds a lot of value to my day-to-day. Zoom transcribes my meetings, and Claude turns the transcripts into a to-do list I actually check.
How it runs:
Zoom transcribes every meeting.
Every hour or two, a scheduled task pulls my Zoom transcripts, categorizes my meetings and adds any action items to my Claude project folders.
When I get free time during the day, I check whether there’s anything I need to do.
Every morning, a brief reads my action items and the previous day’s meetings, and reminds me what I said I’d complete. Then we complete it together.
Setting it up:
The connector: Zoom built “Zoom for Claude.” In Claude, go to Customize, then Connectors, search “Zoom” and approve it on Zoom’s page. Zoom says you need Workplace Pro or higher, with Meeting summary or Smart Recording turned on.
Transcribe everything: in Zoom’s settings, turn on Meeting summary with AI with “Auto-start when meeting starts,” and Meeting transcript set to generate transcripts for all meetings.
The schedule: Claude’s scheduled tasks run hourly, daily or on weekdays, in the cloud, even with your laptop closed. Hourly is the most often a task can run.
The catches: you only get meetings you hosted or that the host shared with you. Recordings can take about twice the meeting’s length to process, per Zoom, so have the task look back over the last day. If IT runs your Zoom, they may need to approve the app or unlock these settings.
TRY THIS ON ONE TASK
Get one week of Zoom meetings back as an action item list.
Turn on Meeting summary with AI (auto-start) and Meeting transcript for all meetings in your Zoom settings (Cloud). Connect Zoom to your AI tool, then schedule a daily task that reviews yesterday’s meetings and sends you your action items.
At the end of the week, compare its list with what you’d have written down yourself.
03 / A CLOSER LOOK
🔎 An Anthropic BDR runs his day on six Claude agents
Shahboz Ibragimov, a business development rep on Anthropic’s Japan team, wrote up how a fleet of Claude agents runs his day. Five have named jobs: routing the daily inbound queue to reps, qualifying his leads and updating Salesforce, drafting email replies in Japanese or English, updating opportunity records, and drafting end-of-day meeting follow-ups. A sixth keeps the others’ instructions and shared knowledge base current.
Really impressive… but note that he’s only working inbound.
Before the agents, he spent “a couple of hours each morning” routing, qualifying and writing emails. His own estimate, from a weekly log of what the agents get through, is that the fleet saves him “around 60 hours of work.” The post doesn’t say over what period. He built it on Claude Managed Agents and Claude Tag, which puts Claude in Slack. Both are in beta.
Where I land: six agents sounds like a lot until you see the jobs: routing, qualifying, replies, CRM updates, follow-ups. That’s most of a BDR’s admin, and it’s the part nobody misses. This setup also screams startup or startup within a larger team. Scaling it across an established go-to-market team would take a more robust system, wondering why he needs to do this vs centralized ops.
Borrow it: list the jobs you do every morning before you can sell, then hand the most repetitive one to a single agent before you build a fleet.
04 / PIPELINE SIGNALS
📡 On the radar
OpenAI took ChatGPT Ads to 89 countries and says more than 100,000 advertisers have run campaigns. From October 29, creative enhancements switch on by default: ChatGPT can rewrite headlines, translate copy, resize images and change landing pages, with no review of each version. So what: if you run ChatGPT ads, decide before October 29 whether you want it rewriting your copy. The opt-out is in Ads Manager.
Salesforce agreed to buy Braze for $47.50 a share in cash, about $5.66 billion in enterprise value, per the companies. Braze serves about 2,770 customers, and Salesforce plans to pair its real-time personalization with Marketing Cloud and Agentforce. The deal is expected to close in Salesforce’s fiscal 2028. So what: if your lifecycle team runs on Braze, expect Marketing Cloud and Agentforce to come up at your next renewal.
ElevenLabs launched Eleven Realtime, two speech-to-speech models for voice agents. It names customer support and lead qualification as jobs for the larger one, and says it covers 90+ languages. So what: a voice agent that qualifies inbound calls after hours is now a product you can pilot.
Nylas, which sells agent and email infrastructure, surveyed 1,030 people: 54% saw an agent make a mistake in the last 90 days. Incidents rise from 45% of teams running 1 to 5 agents to 70% of teams running more than 20, and only 53% can fully reconstruct what an agent did. So what: this is why capability and regression evals matter when you let agents act on their own. Evals are repeatable tests: capability evals check the agent can do the job, and regression evals check it still does after a change.
Otter.ai raised $320 million from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund. Otter says 40 million people have used it. So what: You mean the random app my previous executives couldn’t figure out how to turn off is actually successful?
Salesforce uses AI agents to answer its own unworked inbound leads. Area VP Itai Margalit told a Tel Aviv conference that about 75% of 100 million leads used to go unanswered, and the agents have built more than $88 million in pipeline, per CTech. So what: count your own unanswered inbound first. It’s the pipeline you can play around with, also Salesforce needs every $ it can right now.
Canva, where I work, released Canva Craft, our first image generation model and the first foundation model Canva Research built and trained from scratch. It debuted on DesignArena’s image leaderboard right behind OpenAI and ahead of every model from Google, Meta and ByteDance. So what: on-brand images you can keep editing in Canva, and soon generate inside your own workflows through the API.
DeepSeek raised about 100 billion yuan, roughly $15 billion, with Tencent and battery maker CATL among its biggest backers, per Bloomberg. Reuters reported the round was still being finalized. It came days after the US ordered federal agencies to remove DeepSeek’s software. So what: cheap, capable open models keep getting funded, so the price pressure on the AI tools you buy isn’t letting up.
OVER TO YOU
💬 If an agent ran one hour of your workday, which hour would you give it?
For me it would be meeting follow-up, and that one’s already gone. Zoom transcribes the meeting, a scheduled task files what I owe people, and my morning brief reminds me before I forget. Which hour would you hand over?
How was this week’s issue?
Robert
